Guide
Getting started
Access is by invitation. This guide covers asking for it, signing in, finding your organisation and adding the people you work with.
Request access
Sign-in is for invited testers; access is by request. There is no sign-up form and no queue. You ask by email, and a person at Alonstech replies.
LAZweaver is in alpha. Problems are expected, and data on the alpha cell may be reset. Keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Email the team
Write to [email protected]. Say who you are, what you survey and who in your team will use LAZweaver.
Wait for your access code
We reply with an access code. Keep it: you need it when you create your account.
Create your account
If your invitation asks you to create the account yourself, open the console and choose Create one under the sign-in form. The account is made in steps: first your email address, then the code we send to it, then your organisation’s name, your name, a password and the access code. You also accept the terms on that last step. Nothing is created until you finish it.
Go to the console. If the sign-in screen offers buttons for other accounts, they are above the form. Otherwise:
Enter your email address and password
Choose Sign in. If you have forgotten the password, use Forgot your password? on the same screen.
Or ask for a code instead
Choose Email me a code instead, then paste the code from the email into the Code box.
Enter the second code if you are asked for one
If your account uses an authenticator app, the screen asks for the code it shows.
After a failed attempt the screen asks you to wait a short while before you try again. When you are done, choose Sign out in the account menu at the top of the screen.
Find your organisation
Everything in LAZweaver belongs to an organisation: its runs, its uploaded files, its processing templates and its usage. The console calls it your company. Its name is at the top of the screen.
If you belong to more than one organisation, open People in the left-hand navigation. Under Companies, the one you are working in is marked current. Choose Switch to it beside another to move to it.
Add colleagues
Colleagues join by invitation. The owner and the administrators of an organisation can send one; everyone else sees a short explanation instead of the form.
Open People
The page lists everyone in the organisation, with their name, email address, role and when they joined. Only the owner, the administrators and the billing contact can read the list.
Send an invitation
Under Invitations, enter your colleague’s email address, choose a role and choose Invite.
An invitation to join an organisation is a link that works for seven days.
Follow it up
An invitation stays in the list until it is accepted, expires or is withdrawn. The list tells you a colleague who has not answered from one who never got the message. You can withdraw an invitation from its row.
What the roles mean
| Role | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Member | Process and review surveys. |
| Admin | Manage surveys, people and organisation settings. |
| Billing | Manage billing and payments. |
Change a person’s role with the dropdown in the Role column of People. Remove a person from the menu on their row. Handing an organisation to a new owner is not done on this screen.
Next
Your first run starts with uploading a survey. If something does not work, choose Help in the navigation to ask us or report a problem.
