Who builds this
LAZweaver is built and operated by Alonstech, a small engineering company in Kerala, India.
The company

Vision, mission and governance, in full
Why this product exists
Survey firms in India acquire excellent LiDAR and then wait on somebody else's desktop to turn it into a deliverable. The processing step is where the schedule goes, where the licence money goes, and where the work most often has to be redone because a parameter was wrong three days ago. LAZweaver is that step as a service: submit the cloud, get the folder, and see what the run actually did.
The processing engine is our own code rather than a wrapper around a desktop package. The engine is pure Rust and needs no PDAL or PROJ installation to run its native commands. That is what makes it something a server can run at the pace of the survey rather than at the pace of a workstation.
Where it runs
All processing of Indian point-cloud data on LAZweaver takes place, and all such data is stored, exclusively within the India data plane (in-mumbai-1, AWS Mumbai). Point coordinates, classified clouds and derived surfaces do not transit foreign edge proxies, international CDN workers, overseas key-value stores or international log aggregators.
LAZweaver sells to businesses in other countries from an Indian cell, and says so plainly rather than implying a local presence it does not have. A customer processing data elsewhere is responsible for that jurisdiction's own rules on survey, acquisition, mapping and export.
What it is not, yet
Being plain about the state of a product is cheaper than being caught out by it. Today:
- Access is by invitation while the validation deployment runs: sign-up is closed, and an account is opened for a survey firm we have talked to.
- No plan version is published yet, because the prices are not set. There is nothing on this site to quote, and there will be a published price list here before there is an invoice.
- The legal suite below is published in draft. It has not been reviewed by counsel and no customer has been asked to accept it.
Each of those changes when the thing behind it changes, and this page changes in the same commit.
